Shibuya Parco:
A Multi-Floor Shopping Wonderland in Tokyo
An eleven-floor shopping center in the heart of Shibuya, Parco is a unique shopping experience that reflects the diversity, creativity, and fashion-forward energy of the neighborhood. When I say there’s something for everyone, it’s no joke. Situated just a short walk from Shibuya Station, Parco is the perfect one-stop shop for designer fashion lovers, manga fans, and foodies alike.
If you're planning a visit, definitely check out their floor guide in advance to get a sense of everything they offer, and read our guide below for some of tokyo hibi’s favorite spots inside Parco. Keep in mind that the center is currently undergoing a renewal project, so some stores may change by the time you visit. Check their official website for the latest updates before you go!
2nd Floor: Mode & Art
Although "mode" fashion originated in France, Japan has made it their own. Brands like Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake, and COMME des GARÇONS brought avant-garde, minimalistic, and experimental style into mainstream Japanese fashion culture. On the second floor of Parco, you can find boutiques for these legendary labels and more.
One of our favorite spots to browse here is Stone Island. Known for their innovation in fabrics and dyeing techniques, Stone Island fits surprisingly well alongside these mode legends. Even if you're just window shopping, the curation on this floor offers a serious dose of fashion inspiration.
3rd Floor: Advanced Contemporary
The third floor feels like a playground for contemporary fashion lovers. Here, you’ll find a carefully curated mix of modern styles from internationally recognized brands like JW Anderson, and A.P.C., blended with cult-favorite Japanese labels like TANAKA and kolor.
Even if your budget doesn’t quite allow for a shopping spree, it’s still worth exploring just to see the unique pieces you won't find elsewhere. Some of our personal favorites to browse through here include GANNI for their playful Scandinavian styles, and THE NORTH FACE LAB, which features exclusive, fashion-forward outdoor gear you won't see in regular TNF stores.
The overall vibe on this floor is elevated yet accessible—perfect for travelers who want a taste of Tokyo's fashion scene without the overwhelming high-pressure feel of luxury boutiques.
5th Floor: Next Tokyo / Parco Outdoor Park
The fifth floor is a bit of a wild card—and we mean that in the best way possible. You'll find everything from Timberland and Journal Standard to more unexpected shops like Condomania (yes, you read that right—Japan’s most famous novelty condom shop).
For outdoor enthusiasts, the real highlight is the Nordisk Camp Supply Store. They have a fantastic selection of camping gear, ranging from sleek tents and insulated coolers to apparel and accessories from brands like Nanamica, F/CE, and The North Face Purple Label. Even if you're not planning a camping trip anytime soon, it's worth a visit just to admire the beautifully designed gear and fashion.
There’s even an outdoor rooftop area connected to this floor—a perfect little breather if you need a break from shopping.
6th Floor: Cyberspace
By far the most popular and probably the most chaotic floor, the sixth floor is pure heaven for fans of Japanese pop culture. Here you'll find the Pokémon Center Shibuya, Nintendo Tokyo, JUMP SHOP (for all your Shonen Jump manga favorites), CAPCOM Store, and more.
Be warned: it can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. If you're a fan of gaming, anime, or manga, it's absolutely worth braving the crowds. Pro tip: try visiting on a weekday if you want a slightly less hectic experience.
Even if you're not a die-hard fan, the colorful displays and exclusive merchandise make it a fun floor to explore.
B1 Floor: Chaos Kitchen
Finally, no shopping trip is complete without a good meal, and Parco’s Chaos Kitchen on the basement floor delivers. This isn't your average food court—each restaurant is overflowing with character, creativity, and mouthwatering smells.
There's truly something for everyone, from hearty Japanese comfort foods to international options. If you're looking for a quick but delicious meal, we recommend udon oniyanma, a popular chain known for their affordable and incredibly satisfying udon bowls. It's a lifesaver after a long day of shopping—especially when you need a recharge before heading back into the Shibuya crowds.
Other popular spots include stylish burger joints, craft beer bars, and even a few vegan-friendly options, making it an easy spot to satisfy mixed groups.
Parco Shibuya captures the spirit of Shibuya itself: eclectic, stylish, energetic, and full of hidden gems. Whether you're hunting for high fashion, geeking out over manga, or just enjoying a seriously good bowl of udon, there's a piece of Tokyo waiting for you on every floor.
