BEAMS Men Shibuya:
Curated Style, Incense, and Graphic Tees in One Spot
April 17, 2025
BEAMS is one of Japan’s most beloved select shop brands, popular with both locals and tourists alike. With sub-labels ranging from BEAMS Japan to BEAMS Plus, BEAMS Boy, and even BEAMS Golf, each shop offers a slightly different experience and target audience. Among all the branches, one of our personal favorites is BEAMS Men Shibuya, located just around the corner from Ragtag.
Despite its name, BEAMS Men isn’t just for men. While the primary collection is geared toward menswear, many of the items are unisex and the overall curation makes it a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in Tokyo street style and contemporary fashion.
From Graphic Tees to Incense: What Makes This BEAMS Unique
The store features a mix of BEAMS’ original label and a rotating selection of popular domestic and international brands such as Cav Empt (C.E.), Arc’teryx, Needles, and South2 West8. If you’ve already visited other select shops in Tokyo like Dover Street Market or H Beauty and Youth, you may spot some overlap in brand offerings. That said, BEAMS Men has a dedicated section for “Beams T”, which features a wide variety of graphic T-shirts, artist collaborations, and lesser-known labels. It’s a great place to find a statement tee or something more playful that you might not see elsewhere.
The store itself also has a distinctive aesthetic. The warm wooden interiors create a cozy, slightly rustic atmosphere—almost like stepping into a stylish log cabin. The scent of incense greets you at the entrance, a signature touch of many BEAMS stores. They burn Kuumba International incense in a large can at the door, and if you enjoy the smell, you can purchase the same incense upstairs.
The second floor carries a small but thoughtfully chosen selection of Kuumba incense and trays, making it a convenient option if you don’t have time to visit the Kuumba Book Shop in Tomigaya.
Whether you’re looking to browse new arrivals, find a standout tee, or just take in the curated style that BEAMS does so well, BEAMS Men Shibuya is a fun and easy stop to work into your shopping itinerary.
